The raptors came close, but unfortunately had some major flaws that would have thrown a big wrench in the great seeker money grab. And exclusives usually are characters that aren't expected to be hot sellers, thus made in smaller numbers. And even with mainline: with siege Skywarp was an exclusive and ER Skywarp and Thundercracker were exclusives. And though TT did make all three with the MP-52 mould, TC and SW were again sold exclusively through TTmall. With MP-11 TT only released Starscream: Skywarp and Thundercracker were made at the request of Hasbro Asia and sold in Japan solely as a store exclusive. But Hasbro didn't release Thundercracker, while Skywarp was heavily discounted and still didn't sell well. With the official MP's MP-3 Starscream was released widely, both by Takara and Hasbro: Takara even releasing three different versions. However, I think we can even come to the same conclusion by looking at official figures. But even if it's based on the HoS seekers, than despite them being a niche product, the same result would apply: many just buy Starscream and far less all three. Unless they tell us, but else we'll likely never know. I'm curious if their perspective came from the Hearts of Steel seekers which were unfortunately always going to do niche audience numbers at best (even though they were really cool), or again from the iGear raptor squadron since there was some designer overlap with iGear.
